QUARTZ ACRYLIC PRIMER FOR MORTAR ADHESION WITHOUT SOLVENTS
DESCRIPTION
Ready-to-use primer of a special acrylic base, without solvents, with quartz aggregates, enriched with improving additives. It stands out for its strong adhesion, even on very smooth surfaces. It has excellent resistance to alkalis while at the same time acting as a barrier to incoming moisture, protecting the building from unwanted damage. Due to its structure, it provides the possibility of breathability of the structural element.
ADVANTAGES
It is not affected by permanent moisture and is not emulsified by rain if surfaces remain unwashed or uncoated for a long time.
Its application creates a rough surface, increasing adhesion even on the smoothest or least absorbent substrates.
APPLICATIONS
DUROSTICK DS-255 is essential on surfaces where traditional plaster is difficult to adhere to, such as extruded or expanded polystyrene placed for insulation on building facades. It 'prevents' possible detachment of the plasters on internal and external surfaces from seismic vibrations, as well as shrinkage of the insulating materials. On 'difficult' substrates it can also work as a fly. Due to its elasticity, it absorbs the contractions and expansions created on insulated surfaces, columns, concrete facades with the adjacent masonry of brick, concrete, aerated concrete, cement blocks, etc. Ideal also as a primer before the application of cement mortar D-6 in the COOL ROOF THERMAL SEALING SYSTEM , as well as before placing the pressed cement mortars DS-250, DS-254 IRON on tiles, marble or mosaic and DS-252 FLEX over marine plywood floors or thoroughly cleaned sheet metal. In addition, appropriateand for substrates with underfloor heating.
HOW TO USE - SURFACE PREPARATION
The surfaces to be primed must be dry and free of loose spots, dust, grease, dirt, etc.
APPLICATION
Stir the DS255 well in its container, before applying it, with a low-speed drill. It is spread with a roll or patroga in one layer. After it dries completely (24-48 hours), the mortar is applied.
CONSUMPTION: 300-350gr/m² per layer, depending on the thickness of the layer and the substrate.
CLEANING: Tools are cleaned with water and detergent immediately after use.
STORAGE: Stored in areas protected from frost, for at least 18 months from the date of production.
