DESCRIPTION

Vechro Pro Minio Extra is an antioxidant primer for the increased protection of iron structures from rust in the open air and for priming wood as a rot inhibitor. It is based on alkyd synthetic resins, enriched with lead oxide (minio lead). The product has very good adhesion on metal surfaces. Easy to work with and spreads great. For complete anti-rust protection, a dry film thickness of 50μm is required (approximately two coats with the brush.

SURFACE PREPARATION

To ensure proper adhesion of the paint, the surface to be painted must be cleaned of dust, grease, oil, peeling old paint, loose pieces, remaining mold, etc. Old rust is carefully removed with sandpaper. Lightly sandpaper the surface.

APPLICATION

Mix well. We apply two coats of Vechro Pro Minio Extra for proper preparation. Can be repainted with Smaltolux Extra, Gumilak Metal, Smaltolux Hydro Master Primer, Smaltox Hydro, etc.

• BRIGHTNESS: 3 – 7 units at 60°
• SPECIFIC WEIGHT: 2.16 – 2.25kg/lt.
• YIELD: 4 – 6 m² /kg per layer.
• DILUTION: 5 – 10% with SMALTOLUX WHITE SPIRIT thinner.
• DRYING : Surface 90'
• RE-PAINT: At least 18 hours after application.
• VOC CLASS: “Special coatings of one component. Primer for ferrous substrates". Type D. Limit VOC value = 500 gr/lt. Maximum VOC content of ready-to-use product = 375 gr/lt. Meets the requirements of the Legislation after the year 2011. VOC or WTO: volatile organic compounds with a boiling point < 250°C. Adhesion to metal surfaces The paint shows excellent adhesion (GT0 – GT1).
• ELASTICITY: The paint shows very good elasticity (Bending resistance at 7mm diameter: ok)
• ANTI-RUST PROTECTION: After 240h (approx. 10 days) salt spray tests at a dry film thickness of 50μm they gave the following results. a) Degree of blistering 8M/55. b) Degree of rusting 0.031100
• SHADES: Orange.
• CLEANING TOOLS: Keep tools "wet" in the paint container or vessel while working. Drain the paint well back into the can and clean with solvent and soapy water.
• APPLICATION CONDITIONS: Temperature 8 – 30oC and relative humidity lower than 80%. Adverse conditions during application can alter the final properties of the product.
• STORAGE: After application close the container tightly to keep it in good condition for future use. Store in a cool environment. Protect the material from exposure to the sun.
