DESCRIPTION

Excellent new generation anti-rust primer, with low VOC content and lower odor during application. It can be used for priming any type of metal surface. Achieves effective anti-rust protection even for surfaces exposed to a strong oxidizing environment. Excellent grip. Does not contain toxic pigments. It works softly and spreads wonderfully.

SURFACE PREPARATION

The surface must be cleaned of dust, grease, oil, loose old paint, rust, sanded and thoroughly cleaned of dust.

APPLICATION

Mix well. We apply one or two layers of OXIDOL to the suitably pre-prepared surfaces. As a final color, we can apply GUMILAK metal, SMALTOLUX extra or any VECHRO ripolin as the case may be.

• GLOSS : Satin with a gloss of 14 – 20 units at 60
• SPECIFIC GRAVITY: 1.38 – 1.41 kg/lt (grey-brown).
• YIELD: 14–16m² /lt per layer.
• THINNING: Brush or Roller application up to 5% with SMALTOLUX WHITE SPIRIT thinner & Gun application up to 18% with VECHRO Thinner No 1.
• DRYING: Dry to the touch 60 – 90min .
• DRYING: Dry in depth 3 - 4 h .
• RE-PAINT: At least 18 hours after application.
• VOC CLASS: “Special coatings of one component. Primer for ferrous substrates". Type D. Limit VOC value = 500 gr/lt. Maximum VOC content of ready-to-use product = 450 gr/lt. Meets the requirements of the Legislation after the year 2011. VOC or WTO: organic volatile compounds with a boiling point < 2500C. Adhesion The primer shows excellent adhesion (GT0-GT1).
• SHADE : Brown - Grey.
• CLEANING TOOLS: During the work keep the tools "wet" in the container or vessel with the paint. Drain the paint thoroughly from the tools back into the box and clean them with VECHRO #1 solvent, warm water and soapy water.
• APPLICATION CONDITIONS: Temperature 8 – 30oC and relative humidity lower than 80%. Adverse conditions during application can alter the final properties of the product.
• STORAGE: Store in a cool environment, protect the material from frost and exposure to the sun. Close the container tightly after application.
