DESCRIPTION

One component water impregnation oil suitable for the protection of wooden surfaces for external use. Due to its special composition, it penetrates the wooden surface, offering protection against moisture, drying and cracks, without altering the natural beauty of hardwood. It provides high protection against atmospheric pollutants, mold growth, corrosion and solar radiation due to the special UV filters it contains. It is ideal for the protection of hard woods such as teak, mahogany, iroko, etc. Also suitable for external wooden surfaces such as pergolas, furniture, verandas, etc. It dries quickly and does not create a film.

SURFACE PREPARATION

The surface must be dry, clean of dust, grease, oil, peeling old paint, loose pieces, etc. and without traces of resin or previously applied protection products. Corroded surfaces should be sanded until healthy wood appears. In the case of planed woods with a glossy/satin appearance, sand lightly with fine sandpaper. This helps open the pores and allow Smaltolux hydro TEAK OIL to penetrate.

APPLICATION

TEAK OIL HYDRO is ready to use. Mix well before application. Apply a layer of Smaltolux hydro TEAK OIL following the water of the wood. As soon as the wood loses its "wet" appearance (dry) apply the second layer. Repeat the same process if necessary. In porous wood as well as in extreme conditions such as continuous exposure to solar radiation, in wet areas, etc., apply 3-4 layers of Smaltolux hydro TEAK OIL. It is recommended to apply Smaltolux hydro TEAK OIL once a year for the correct and long-term maintenance and protection of wooden surfaces.

• DRYING : Touch dry in ½-1 hour.
• RE-PAINTING : 2-3 hours after application. These times are extended under cold and wet weather conditions.
• VOC CLASS : "Absorbed wood paints". Type Y. Limit VOC value = 130gr/lt.
• MAXIMUM CONTENT : VOC product ready to use = 45gr/lt. VOC or VOC: volatile organic compounds with a boiling point < 250ᵒC.
• WASHABILITY: At least 7 days from its application using mild detergents. It is recommended not to use pressurized water.
• CONDITIONS OF APPLICATION: Temperature 8 – 30oC and relative humidity lower than 80%. Adverse conditions during application can alter the final properties of the product.

CLEANING TOOLS

During the work, keep the tools "wet" in the container or vessel with the paint. Drain the paint well from the tools back into the box and clean them with warm soapy water. If the paint dries, it can only be removed with strong detergents. Do not empty washing liquids into the water table.

SAVE

Store in a cool environment, protect the material from frost and exposure to the sun. Close the container tightly after application. Recover leftover paint for reuse. Reuse of paints can really minimize the environmental impact of products' life cycle
